Reading Words (2012) was my first time recording in a professional studio in Vermont. Written from my own struggle with illiteracy, it reflects how I found hope through perseverance and support. Mixed and mastered with care, it marked the beginning of my journey in finding my sound. I’ve come a long way since then, but even then I had already been writing and sharing my story through music. The song went on to be shared by teachers and conferences around the world, reaching students and educators focused on learning differences. One day, I’d love to revisit it and give it a fresh recording with the modern polish it deserves.
